Cookie Policy

How ClassControl uses essential cookies and trusted-device technology.

Effective: 18 July 2026 Last reviewed: 18 July 2026 Version: 1.0

1. Overview

ClassControl uses cookies and similar storage technologies that are necessary for authentication, security and delivery of requested platform features. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site behavioural-tracking cookies on the public ClassControl website.

2. Essential cookies

Session cookies maintain authenticated sessions, preserve security state and help prevent unauthorised requests. These cookies are required for login and core service operation.

3. Remembered devices

Super Administrators may choose to remember a device for up to 30 days after successful multi-factor authentication. The browser stores a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict cookie containing a random token. ClassControl stores only a cryptographic hash of the validating secret.

A remembered device does not remove the password requirement and can be revoked from two-factor authentication settings.

5. Browser controls

Users can block or delete cookies using browser settings, but doing so may prevent login, trusted-device functionality or other secure features from working correctly.
